mathematics and Christianity
across two religious wars

Why this book?

To explain to the layperson the following.
(1) How and why the math taught today, in schools and universities, is mixed-up with church dogma
(2) How the bad Western philosophy of math is supported by a false and racist history of "Euclid", who never existed.
(3) How the church built both false history and dogma as a systematic means of mind control, by altering original Christianity.

That means of mind control was also used by colonialism to conquer minds, through Western education, and it continues to be used today in the thrust for globalisation.

How do you know your mind is controlled? First check a few facts. You probably heard the story of "Euclid" with school geometry. But what is the evidence for "Euclid"? Never asked? Just believed those stories without evidence, did you?  How then do you know Euclid was white-skinned as shown in school texts? Children who are taught this falsehood develop an awe of the white-skinned. Why should this continue?

Euclid prize. I have offered a prize of RM 10,000 (Rs 1.8 lakh, USD 3,200) for any serioius evidence about "Euclid". No one has claimed the prize. But the story remains in school texts. Western "experts"  know they lack  evidence, but, instead of admitting the truth,  they try the tricks of propaganda: they  slander, misrepresent, abuse, and censor.  The Indian tradition of debate lists these tricks as indirect ways of admitting the truth. Read this article to find out how "Euclid" is mere Crusading history concocted by the church. Don't fully understand the article? Try this book from Kindle. Want to know more about how the church cconcocted history? Then the book Euclid and Jesus is for you.

Mathematics and Christian dogma

Many people are shocked at the thought that mathematics may not be secular. "Isn't 2+2=4?", they invariably ask.  Then they try to prove it by lining up two objects with two objects to make four objects. (That is how they learnt about numbers in kindergarten.)

They are blissfully unaware that such empirical proofs are NOT admissible in present-day mathematics. (Why not? Read the book, or this article.)

On present day mathematics, 2+2=4 is a formal and metaphysical truth flowing from Peano's axioms. It has nothing to do with putting two apples and two apples together to make four apples. With different axioms we could have 2+2=5 or 1+1=0 (as in Boolean addition for  exclusive "or"). A computer can never do Peano arithmetic properly, since Peano's axioms implicitly involve the notion of infinity. Infinity brings in the church metaphysics of eternity (through axiomatic set theory, for example).

Don't know what Peano's axioms are? Don't know what is formal truth? Too bad for you. Did it strike you that your ignorance could be (and is being) exploited to tether you (and your children) to a world view which suits the church?

Are you a Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, or other non-Christian? Did you know that the metaphysics underlying formal mathematics is biased against your religious beliefs? Disallowing empirical proofs rejects all systems of Indian philosophy at one stroke, as inferior, for they all accept the empirical as the first means of proof, like science. Using only 2-valued logic for reasoning goes against the Buddhist logic of catuskoti, and the Jain logic of syadavada. Math today teaches reasoning aligned to Christian rational theology, which borrowed from and modified Islamic rational theology (aql-i-kalam). Read this article to know more, and this one.  Don't fully understand the article? Want to know more? Then the book Euclid and Jesus is for you.

How the church changed Christianity into a tool to rule

Are you a Christian? Just trusted your priests, did you? Did it strike you that they might be exploiting your trust to rule over you? Did it strike you that they may have altered original Christianity (a doctrine of love) to enable this system of "fool and rule"?  Read this article to know more. Don't fully understand the article? Want to know more? Then the book Euclid and Jesus is for you.

Colonial education

Students don't know why they study the math they do. Most math teachers don't know either: they just follow the syllabus set by the government.  The government doesn't know either: it goes by what the "experts" say.  Thus, everyone blindly trusts a few "experts" who set the syllabus.

So you thought your blind trust in "experts" is different from the blind trust others have in so many foolish things.  Did it strike you that the "experts" you trust might have vested interests? Why do all "experts" need to be Western-trained? Did it strike you that it might also mean they act as agents of the West, and are  aligned to its interests?

So, you thought colonialism introduced Western education  not to control the colonised, through mind-capture, but as a boon to them? So, you thought exploitation (as in India and China), slavery (as in Africa), and genoicde (as in the Americas and Australia)  were great humanitarian acts, the way Western thinkers like Kant or Carlyle said?  If so, you deserve what you get. Want freedom? Read this book to find out how to free yourself. Don't fully undestand it? Want to know more? Then the book Euclid and Jesus is for you?

How to make math easy

Math became difficult because it got intertwined with theology and metaphysics: the metaphysics of infinity is built into set theory. So, making math secular eliminates that bad metaphysics, and makes math easy.

Formal math is about proof (persuasion) unlike practical math which is about calculation (required for commerce, science, and engineering). Metaphysically proving 2+2=4 (from Peanos's axioms) is  pointless, for mathematical proving something does not make it a certain or universal truth. Metaphysical proofs are also useless: few people ever need them. (That includes scientists and engineers who use mathematics to calculate.) Practical math of calculation is easy.  For example, differential equations and elliptic integrals can be taught to children, as I have done.

Teaching secular, practical, and easy math  is part of the agenda (see the courses on calculus without limits, on the left pane), but not  a part of the book. (It is the next book!) This book only explains how and why math got mixed-up with Christian dogma:  we first need to change that, to make math secular, and that also makes it easy. But the math syllabus must first be changed, since children today study for exams, not knowledge.  To change the math syllabus, laypersons must first understand its deficiencies. They must get over the two naive idea that everything beyond  2+2=4 can be safely left to "experts". They must learn that Western-trained math "experts", who act as agents of the West, are not to be trusted, any more than agents of the slave trade. Freedom needs informed decision-making: they must work to overthrow the authority of those "experts", and force the syllabus to be disucssed and justified publicly.  Then only can math become secular, practical, and easy.

Top 5 reasons why people are reading the book

1. I am bad at math and want to know why math is tough (so I can learn it the easy way).

2. I am a Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist or other non-Christian. I want to know how present-day math brainwashes people against my religious beliefs (so I can do something about it).

3. I am a Christian, I want to know how the church altered original Christianity to "fool and rule" me (so I can go back to my true faith).

4. I am black or  other non-White, and I want to know how false history is used to make me feel inferior (so I can get over that feeling).

5. I want to know about history as it really happened (so I can learn from the past).
